Twelve members of the V were given the chance to work with this year’s Artist-in-Residence, Nina Dunn, last week. Girls were given the opportunity to create a short installation film, learn new software, as well as navigate within the confines of an unexpected film location. The opportunity to create a piece that evoked a contrasting perspective associated with a location required a surprising amount of thought as the installations were projected onto complex spaces around the school. The show brought objects to life and challenged the way they’re viewed, exploring their textures and depth. Student who worked with her say that Nina Dunn’s input and advice challenged their limits and gave them an insight into imaginative animation techniques.
