Debaters Win LSE Schools Competition

December 18, 2017

Our young debaters crowned an unforgettable half-term by winning the main title, the individual best speaker, the top team in qualifying and the novice competition at LSE Schools. This event is always very competitive and attracted several Scottish internationals. Rachel and Sara (VI) scored 11/12 points to ‘top the tab’ in qualifying, with Rachel taking best speaker. In the final they had the difficult task of proposing that the state care for all children, which they did in a very bold fashion to win over the judges. The icing on the cake was when our only novice team, Maya and Kitty (L5) won the novice final.
