Extreme Physics Competition

Wycombe

Eight excited, physics-mad Paulinas in the V took part in an Extreme Physics competition at Wycombe Abbey over Easter. There the girls completed challenges, such as finding the mass of an alien and making one-minute timers, and also had the chance to go indoor sky diving and brush-boarding. After a sleepless night, the event culminated in presentations as the students explained the science and stories behind the Voyager Program and behind nineteenth-century communication. The St Paul’s Girls’ School teams were placed second and fourth overall and had a splendid time.
