On 14 May, the St Paul’s Boat Club travelled to Eton Dorney to compete at the renowned Junior Sculling Regatta. Our J15s faced some tough competition, with the coxes four placing seventeenth in the time trial narrowly missing out on the final. The J15 double of Isobel Stuart-Smith and Anna Mathers (V) performed incredibly well, placing ninth out of 23 crews in the time trial and went on to win the B final by a large margin, placing them sixth overall in their category. Lucinda Douse (VII) performed fantastically, placing third in her semi and finishing fifth overall in the A final of J17 singles. The senior quad of Aurelia Cowan, Lara Valt, Helen Kirkpatrick and Nicola Lawless (pictured above) had a very successful day, going from second place in the time trial to winning the A final of J18 coxless quads and setting a new record time for their category.
