Biology Trip to Bushy Park

March 6, 2015

VII biologists donned their wellies and raincoats for what turned out to be a beautiful day in Bushy Park. The objective was to learn about measuring biodiversity, which meant counting moss and milkwort, checking soil depth with knitting needles and attempting to decipher a rather ambiguous key. Students studied both an area of mown grass and a meadow before heading back to the classroom for some statistical analysis, which yielded interesting and unexpected results.
