The school’s debaters have had a fantastic set of results recently. Paulinas have won three U18 competitions, and in the Debate Mate London tournament, Josie Dallas and Jackie Li (VII) ‘topped the TAB’ in qualifying, with Josie best speaker. At Bristol, Isabel Murray and Emma Warburton (VI) excelled as top qualifiers, only to be beaten in the final by Freya Wilson and Bella Forristal (VI). At Canterbury, Isabel and Laura Harray (V) won their first ever tournament from Emma and Hannah Sanderson (VI). The piece de resistance came at Nottingham where Sophia Carney and Asisa Singh (V) pulled off an incredible act of giant killing. It was their first grand final, but they spoke brilliantly to defeat three experienced teams.
