On 10 and 11 May, a catastrophe occurred in the new Drama Studio. Romeo forgot his lines, Lady Montague had stage fright, Juliet kept injuring herself and there was punch up during the interval. And that’s exactly how it was written. Isobel Stuart-Smith in the LV stepped into the world of directing and producing and adapted Romeo and Juliet as a play within a play. Based on The Play That Goes Wrong, it was only right that as the first guests arrived in the studio, they had to abandon the building for a genuine fire alarm.
