Russian Day

January 22, 2015

Girls at St Paul’s celebrated Russian Day today and engaged with the many faces of Russia’s rich culture with an authentic flourish. Lunchtime activities included both beginner and advanced ballet classes led by Monica Nicolaides, as well as a workshop with Cristina Palmer on translating the untranslatable. Another highlight was the practical drama workshop led by OP Lucy Briers that focused on the exploration and experience of Chekov’s naturalistic style in performance. And to give Paulinas a true taste of Russia, the lunch menu consisted of traditional cuisine such as borshch, coulibiac and mushroom pirozhki.
