Senior Scholarships have recently been announced here at St Paul’s Girls’ School. These are awarded to girls in the VIII who submitted the most outstanding research essays. This year’s scholars are Catalina Garcia who wrote on ‘Music and Memory: an investigation into how music is processed in Baddeley’s Model of Working Memory’ (which you can read here), and Miranda Shaw who asked ‘How far is Berlin justified in criticising Rousseau’s conception of Liberty’ (which you can read here). Each gave a short presentation on her research in a recent assembly. Ebba Brunnstrom was also highly commended for her essay entitled ‘Investigating Galaxy Orientation and Alignment’. Congratulations also to Kathryn Cussons, Laure Ellis, Beth Hindhaugh, Nathalie Lahiri, Emma Richards, Emily Seshadri and Julia Warszewski, who were shortlisted.
