The Friday before half term the Great Hall was truly transformed into a ‘Spring Awakening’ for this year’s Re-Store and Charities fashion show. The catwalk was beautifully lined with spring flowers, kindly arranged by the Parents’ Guild, and we were delighted to welcome Stella McCartney, Stewart Parvin, Stacey Jackson and Ronit Zilkha as our celebrity judges. All entrants interpreted the theme of Spring Awakening uniquely which resulted in an exciting display of outfits, which ranged from a rose-covered dress to an outfit inspired by the Great British weather. Lydia Free and Sophia Connery (both in the V) won an internship with Stewart Parvin for their asymmetrical flowery design incorporating a cape. A number of donations, including high-end sportswear and couture ball gowns, were auctioned off after the show which contributed to the staggering £1700 total raised by the event. This sum will be distributed between four deserving charities; West London Action for Children, the Eve Appeal, Let Girls Learn and the school bursary fund.
