On Saturday 14 March, the St Paul’s Girls’ School U19, U16, U15, and U14 netball teams competed in the Middlesex County Netball League finals. They achieved phenomenal results with the U14, U15, and U16 teams all being declared County Champions and the U19s runners up. The following Tuesday, the U12s had their first experience at county finals, and the U13s had the chance to defend their title as County Champions from last season. The U12s dominated their pool play, progressing onto the semi-final unbeaten and finishing in 3rd place overall. The U13s also charged through their pool play and onto the quarter and then their semi-final unbeaten. They came up against long-time rivals of St Paul’s, LEH, in the final, and after a first half of numerous turnovers and no goals, they came back with a vengeance in the second half. Winning the game 4-1, they secured the county title for the second year running. St Paul’s girls are really exceeding the limits and proving a point on the netball front, taking four of the six county titles, a 2nd place by two goals and a 3rd place by one goal.
