The summer holiday saw 32 excited geographers from the V and VI embark on an adventure to Iceland. They spent a night in log cabins in the serene Icelandic countryside, experienced the midnight sun and relaxed in the warm waters of the beautiful Blue Lagoon, alongside visiting many magnificent mountains, waterfalls and volcanoes and enjoying the excellent food. Two particular highlights were going inside a glacier and caving through lava tubes! One student commented that they ‘now truly understand why Iceland is known as the Land of Fire and Ice’.
