St Paul’s Victory at Indoor Football Tournament

November 15, 2016

The beginning of November saw the arrival of the most anticipated date in the football calendar: the St Paul’s Indoor Football Tournament. The team went from strength to strength with Pippa Mattich (VIII) acting as a sweeper in defence, enabling the midfield to make incisive runs down the wings and for Lisa Ragunathan (VIII) and Freja Schaap (LV) to score some electrifying goals. The team beat Godolphin, Latymer Upper A and St James B to first place. For many of the players this was their last tournament and it was a fitting end to their football career at St Paul’s, whilst strong performances from younger members of the team are promising for the future of football at St Paul’s.
