Anyone who was in the Great Hall last night was treated to a fabulous concert by St Paul’s best senior musicians and singers. After the orchestra played the Capriccio Espagnol, the four leaving music scholars, Nell Norman, Claudia Dols, Jackie Li and Athena Hawksley-Walker gave stunning performances of their chosen concerto movements which crowned many years of tremendous musical contributions. The combined Senior Choir and Paulina Voices performed two beautiful pieces by Bob Chilcott to words by Shakespeare and John Donne. The end of the concert was introduced by an elegant vocal quartet of Liza Kaminov, Genevieve Arnaud, Sang Hwa Lee and Lizzie Nidzelskaya who performed ‘We’ll Meet Again’ in true Ladies Barbershop style. There was only one way to finish though as the whole hall sang a rousing rendition of ‘Jerusalem’ and ‘I Vow to Thee, My Country’.
