St Paul’s in New York

Over half term, a group of 12 A level art students took a trip across the pond to visit the Big Apple, beginning with a night-time photography session at the Top of the Rock. It was a unique opportunity to experience the rich art scene of the city, meandering through the many galleries of the Meatpacking District. A talk by an independent gallery director gave precious insights into life behind-the-scenes of this vibrant, thriving art world and, as Paulinas, they were overjoyed to keep our staple diet of bagels, burgers and black coffee. The truly immersive experience of Punchdrunk’s production of Sleep No More staged in a huge converted warehouse was extremely impactful, but the week ended with a one-day course in practical film making at the New York Film Academy.
