£30,000 – £37,000 p.a. dependent on qualifications and experience

This key role manages an exciting and developing array of events and activities focused on strengthening the school’s relationship with past students.  The post will appeal to applicants who are familiar with alumnae relations in an education environment and wish to build on their existing experience.

St Paul’s alumnae network is international and includes high profile women who pursue innovative careers or have become leaders in their respective fields.  Using our dedicated social networking site and building on an existing programme of communications, the post holder will enable alumnae to both re-connect with each other and inspire current pupils at the school.  A particular highlight is the commissioning, editing and publication of our bi-annual alumnae magazine ‘The Review’ (accessible on the school website).

As Events Manager you will be responsible for all aspects of alumnae relations activity including:

  • organising and attending reunion events, lectures and networking opportunities in the UK and abroad
  • producing and distributing high quality communications and publications
  • engaging with ‘Old Paulinas’ (OPs) via social media networks
  • growing a network of OP mentors
  • supporting OP volunteers based regionally and overseas.

You will report to our Foundation Director, and whilst not directly engaged in fundraising you will part of a small Development team that generates significant funds to provide student bursaries at St Paul’s.  You will have close links with our Higher Education team, and be involved more widely with both academic and support staff colleagues.

To apply, you should be educated to degree level and have a background in alumnae relations, events management, fundraising or marketing.  You must enjoy meeting people, have excellent standards of communication and possess confident interpersonal skills.  You will have a highly organised and proactive approach to work and be competent in IT, including familiarity with a range of social media tools.  Flexibility to work occasional weekends and evening is essential.
