Maintenance Carpenter

40 hours per week

£23,000 – £28,000 p.a. depending on experience 

A multi-skilled Maintenance Carpenter is required to join the estates team at St Paul’s Girls School and work on all aspects of infrastructure and maintenance for our historic buildings and grounds, including nearby Bute House Preparatory School.  Covering both planned and reactive works, the job will include carpentry projects, interior and exterior repairs and maintenance, swimming pool maintenance and health and safety compliance.

You will be a fully qualified carpenter at NVQ level 2 or similar, preferably with relevant trade qualifications or a carpentry apprenticeship.  You must also have experience within a Facilities/Maintenance environment.   Good communication skills, the ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines and sound knowledge and training in relevant health and safety requirements are all essential.  Training can be offered on swimming pool maintenance.
