In this flexible, part-time role you will join a lively and successful English department, promoting and developing reading and writing at all levels.  Whether you are a well-qualified graduate seeking to build your career, or an experienced English teacher looking for new challenge, you will be excited by the prospect of sharing your passion with bright and motivated pupils.  The post is offered on a one year, fixed term contract.

The development of creative written expression lies at the heart of English teaching at St Paul’s and plays a major role in co-curricular activities – from creative writing groups and student magazines to residentials and national competitions.

The successful candidate must be able to teach English throughout the age range, adopting an intellectually rigorous approach.  Ideally he or she will also contribute a modest element of KS3 drama teaching.

As a tutor, you will participate in our pastoral programme, helping to create a supportive environment for learning, and will be ready to engage in a range of co-curricular activities and trips.
