16 Days of Activism

December 15, 2017

St Paul’s was illuminated in orange last week for school events to mark UN Women’s 16 Days of Activism. Through Dads4Daughters’ collaboration with UN Women, we were delighted to welcome Laura Haynes, Chair of UN Women National Committee UK, to St Paul’s who gave an inspirational assembly about the #drawaline campaign as part of the 16 Days of Activism. Running from 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, to 10 December, Human Rights Day, the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is a time to galvanise action to end violence against women and girls around the world. We fundraised within school through dressing in orange, the colour of the campaign, underneath our own #drawaline installation on the Marble (below) but we urge everyone to donate to #drawtheline to help  protect daughters, wives, mothers, sisters and aunts everywhere from violence.
