2014 Exam Results – A record year at GCSE and at A level

August 18, 2014

We are delighted to report the best provisional GCSE and IGCSE results in the history of St Paul’s Girls’ School. 94.4% of entries achieved an A* and 99.3% of entries were graded either A* or A. The statistics nationally are 6.7% A* and 21.3% A* or A grade. For the fourth consecutive year there were no results lower than a B grade.

We are also thrilled that 56.3% of entries at A level attained an A* grade this year – a new school record. 91.5% of entries achieved an A* or A grade and 98.9% a B or more. Twenty three girls attained straight A* grades in all of their A levels and virtually all students have managed to achieve or exceed the grades they required to take up the conditional offers from their first choice universities.

At AS level, 84.7% of entries have gained an A grade and 95.2% achieved an A or B and this bodes very well for the prospects for this year group at A level and for their success in university applications in the coming academic year.

Many congratulations to all our girls on their fantastic achievements which are the culmination of their hard work and commitment and the dedication and expertise of their teachers.
