Almost, Maine

September 25, 2019

Almost, Maine is a delightful midwinter’s tale full of love, heartache…and a little bit of magic. Although surreal and fantastical in nature, this play is about real people in real relationships and the effort they put in in trying to make them work. Performed by five members of the VII and VIII on Tuesday 10 and Wednesday 11 September, this feel-good production took the audience’s breath away with the actors’ beautiful, authentic and sensitive characterisation, all punctuated with visions of Northern Lights, starry night skies and twinkling fairy lights. This was an absolute pleasure to direct, and I am immensely grateful to the incredible cast and never-ending support from the Drama Department for making this process so amazing.
