Engineering Education Scheme Project

January 12, 2015

Six prospective engineers in the VII, as a part of the Engineering Education Scheme, spent two days at the labs in UCL working on their design for a water pump over the holiday. With half of the group building and testing the mechanics, and the other half programming the electronics, they were all very busy, even with the constant support from their mentors at the engineering company ch2m. They are still deep in work for the project, but this opportunity to design and test at a real university laboratory was not only hugely beneficial for their design, but also gave them a real insight into what research at university might entail.
