October 15, 2015

Many congratulations to Sophia Carney in the VI who has been chosen as a winner of the Foyle Young Poets of the Year Award with her poem How to be a patriot below. The competition for 11 to 17-year-olds had nearly 6,000 entries this year of which only 15 are selected as winners. Sophia has won a year’s membership to the Poetry Society and place on a week-long residential Arvon writing course.
