This half term, the senior school has been lucky enough to be audience to a wide variety of speakers at our weekly Friday Lectures, ranging from the useful to the harrowing. Emily, VII, discusses some notable moments:
Historian Benjamin Wild gave us a talk on the impact of fashion through the ages and Eric Murangwa shared his powerful story of surviving the Rwandan genocide. We were intrigued by journalist Charlotte Gill’s quirky nature and controversial work and inspired by Life Project 4 Youth, an organisation which aims to help young adults with a background of extreme poverty, like speaker Reandro Recto, integrate into both the social and professional world. We look forward to seeing what other visitors this term has in store.
