The restoration of Imogen Holst’s tiny, modernist home in Aldeburgh is now complete and is available for music scholars to rent from the Britten-Pears Foundation. For a delightful digital tour, visit The Holst Project website. The furniture at 9 Church Walk includes Gustav Holst’s music cupboard, which once lived in Mr Holst’s music room at St Paul’s Girls’ School, and was taken by Imogen to her new home in 1962.
