This half term saw the launch of the Senior Scholarship programme. Emily, VII, tells us more:
The Senior Scholarship is an exciting opportunity for members of the VII to immerse themselves in learning by spending the summer working on a project of their own choice. The programme focuses on independence, with support and encouragement from an assigned mentor, and its freedom means that students’ projects can take a number of different forms – a research essay, scientific inventions, poetry and playwriting to name but a few. We look forward to embarking on such a challenging and rewarding academic experience, and seeing the results of each other’s hard work presented at the symposia taking place at SPGS and the boys’ school close to the start of the next school year – hopefully in person!
