Four members of the VII went to Harrow School to represent our school at the London Schools Eco Network, launched by St Paul’s Girls’ School last term to bring staff and students from different schools together to share ideas and join forces on projects. Here, Courtenay, VII tells us mroe:
The student group, hailing from five different London schools, discussed the ongoing eco-initiatives in our schools and thoughts on how to make them greener still. At the end of the student session, students joined the staff meeting to share ideas with teachers from around ten schools who had been discussing various strategies to engage colleagues, students, families and communities. We came away with ideas such as an inter-departmental eco-competition, reducing and offsetting air travel for school trips and making more visual displays of our food waste. We look forward to the next meeting after half term, hosted by another London school.
