The Board of Governors is delighted to announce that Sarah Fletcher, currently Head of City of London School, will succeed Clarissa Farr as our next High Mistress from September 2017.
Sarah graduated from New College, Oxford with a first in history and started her teaching career at Wycombe Abbey. Her previous appointments include Head of History at Haberdashers’ Aske’s School for Girls, and both Director of Studies and Deputy Head at Rugby School. Sarah’s first headship was at Kingston Grammar School, before becoming Head of City of London School.
She is widely respected in the education world as one of the leading educationalists who helped develop and launch both the Pre-U examination and the Extended Project Qualification. Amidst this busy professional life, she finds time for her passions: the clarinet, art, theatre and fresh air.
She is very excited at the prospect of beginning in September and building on Clarissa’s extremely successful tenure.
