Last Wednesday, in celebration of Chinese Day, Chinese classes from every year competed against each other in the first Chinese Karaoke competition to be held at St Paul’s. Each team performed famous English songs with Chinese lyrics as well as Chinese pop songs. Highlights included an entire MIV class performing What Does the Fox Say? with an interesting interpretative dance and two very brave UIVs, Zelda Cahill-Patten and Meghane Saidenberg, who ventured on stage alone and gave an incredible performance with perfect Chinese pronunciation. The bravest, however, were Carolyn Alam-Nist in the LV and Freya Wilson in the VI who gave two solos!
