St Paul’s in Ireland

April 23, 2015

A group of VIII historians took a break from revision over the Easter holidays and ventured to Dublin. They say that a particular highlight of the trip was taking a guided tour around Glasnevin cemetery where nationalist leaders including O’Connell, Parnell and Collins are buried. Perhaps even more exciting was the visit to the General Post Office, the site of the 1916 Easter Rising, which allowed girls to visualise the momentous events of almost 100 years ago.
