Professor Elspeth Garman Visits St Paul’s

December 15, 2014

The last Friday lecture of 2014 was delivered by Professor Elspeth Garman, who is a biochemistry tutor at Brasenose College, Oxford. She spoke of the use of X-Ray crystallography and how its ability to determine the shape of macromolecules can help give clues about its function. Her insights into the field of biochemistry kept even the most reluctant scientists interested and showed students that the area of research that OP Rosalind Franklin undertook is still relevant today.
