RAISE Cook-Along Fundraiser

The RAISE team recently held a teacher-led Zoom cook-along starring the wonderful Mr Patel! Rohini, Deputy Head Girl, tells us more about the event and the important initiative behind it:

RAISE is a student-driven bursary fundraising initiative and with Mr Patel’s help and the generosity of around 50 students, we managed to raise an incredible £940! Mr Patel demonstrated how to make a delicious seaweed egg fried rice, maintaining a very useful but also chatty commentary throughout. By the end of the evening, the attendees had learnt all about the correct colour of fried rice, the virtues of shiitake mushrooms and where best to buy seaweed. And they were left with a delicious dinner at the end of it too! We hope everyone enjoyed the evening  – we are already brainstorming for the next teacher cook-along!
