On Friday 22 November five Russianists headed to Oxford High School for their annual Russian conference. Anya, VIII, tells us more about the day:
We heard talks on a huge variety of topics from Pushkin to Gorbachev, to poetry translation to life as a diplomat during the Cold War. This was the perfect complement to senior students’ Russian studies and a wonderful opportunity for younger girls to explore all that studying Russian has to offer. Over 200 students and teachers came, all with a shared passion, and we enjoyed making new friends over bowls of borscht, specially prepared by the school chefs.
