SPEAC Dragons’ Den

November 24, 2015

Last June students from all year groups were given a challenge: to identify an environmental problem at school and develop a plan to tackle it. Many months of hard work culminated in the SPEAC (St Paul’s Environmental Action Committee) Dragons’ Den event, where the shortlisted teams pitched their ideas to a panel of judges, including eco-entrepreneurs Darren Chadwick and Nick Gardner, who both also spoke to us about their work in the environmental sector. While all pitches were of a high quality, three teams will be splitting the £1000 grant, and we look forward to seeing their exciting projects unfold, from a food waste incentive scheme to automatic lighting installations to motion sensor taps.
