Schools’ Head of the River Race

March 19, 2015

Last Monday was the annual Schools’ Head of the River Race. It is the largest head race of the season for school crews, and this year a total of 384 crews and almost 2500 competitors entered, with St Paul’s sending 28 of those competitors onto the 6.8km course. This year, the school’s senior crew entered a coxed four and came in the top half of crews in the category while the J15s entered an eight for their first ever race. The J16s were able to enter two crews this year – an eight and a coxed four – and came in 4th and 2nd in their categories, respectively, which was an incredible achievement for both crews.
