South-East School Cross-Country Championships

March 2, 2015

On Saturday 28 February, five girls from St Paul’s took part in the South-East School Cross-Country Championships race at Harrow School. All of the girls worked extremely hard for the race in the miserable cold and wet weather, and, with some notoriously boggy places, it was not surprising to see that every participant had her legs—and even face—covered with mud by the finishing line. Charlotte Buckley (UIV) did very well with 15.03 minutes for 2.25 miles and came 7th, followed by Alice Harray and Eve Goodhart (V, 15th and VII, 18th respectively), Freja Schaap (MIV, 42nd) and Francesca Gilks (UIV, 110th) out of 133 girls. The team performed fantastically and were placed 4th out of 24 teams.
