Geography Trip to Swanage 2015

March 12, 2015

The VII geographers spent a chilly weekend in Dorset from Friday 6 March to Sunday 8 March, during which time they carried out fieldwork to support their understanding of rural and coastal environments. The girls visited Lytchett Matravers to investigate the extent to which counter-urbanisation has affected this village and were then rewarded by a relaxing visit to Corfe Castle. Saturday included sampling many pebbles on the 18 mile Chesil Beach along with field-sketching at Lulworth Cove. At Studland Bay, students learned how a fragile coastline is being managed.
