St Paul’s in Dublin

April 15, 2016

The Easter holidays saw the arrival of the much-anticipated Dublin trip for the VIII historians. We were fortunate to be visiting just after the main centenary celebrations of the 1916 Easter Rising, which allowed us to view many incredible exhibitions and see a modern interpretation of a play at the Abbey Theatre. Other highlights of the trip included having a go at hurling at Croke Park, a hike down to the Howth gun running site, as well as a visit to Trinity College, Dublin. Having returned with many memories and the odd tune on an Irish whistle (sorry Mr Bromley), our time in Dublin will definitely stay with us as we leave St Paul’s.
