St Paul’s in Hangzhou

October 20, 2015

After much anticipation, 13 Chinese enthusiasts visited Hangzhou and Shanghai this October. Despite the initial awkwardness, they all became very attached to their Chinese partners after eating several meals and singing karaoke with them. As well as immersing themselves in the language at the Hangzhou Dianzi University, they had plenty of opportunities to immerse themselves in Chinese culture including learning how to make moon cakes and stamps at a local high school. Volunteering at a deaf school was another highlight of the trip, as was the futuristic night view from the Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai.
