Music Scholars Concert

June 15, 2015

Six music scholars from the MIV and UIV put on a lovely concert on Friday 12 June in the school’s Singing Hall. The repertoire ranged from Bach and Mozart through to Chopin and Copland, and all the playing was of a very high standard. The final piece in the concert was a premiere of Red Dagger written specially for the musicians by resident composer Bernard Hughes. Congratulations to all our scholars in the MIV and UIV – Joyce, Gisela, Pooja, Arabella, Charlotte and Natalie, along with Hortense – and also grateful thanks to Alexis White for wonderful piano accompaniment and Dr Hughes for a fantastic composition.
