Cambridge Gould Essay Prize Winner

Congratulations to Emma Cavell in the VII, who has won first prize in Trinity College, Cambridge’s Gould Essay Prize for English Literature. She wins £500 to be shared between her and the English department. Emma’s excellent essay on poetry as a hobby discusses a wide range of poets, from Basil Bunting to Anne Bradstreet to Gerard Manley Hopkins. She will receive her prize at a ceremony at Trinity in early October. You can read her essay here.
