The Sound of Music

November 30, 2017

The halls were alive with the sound of Paulinas practising their ‘do-re-mis’, ahead of the four-night run of this year’s school production, The Sound of Music. Featuring two spectacular casts, the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic was a great success; the question of how to solve a problem like Maria was answered by a devout chorus of nuns, and the well-loved numbers of the von Trapps were brought to life by stunning costumes, a fantastic technical team, and a state-of-the-art set. We were thrilled to welcome special guests from Rodgers and Hammerstein Theatricals, who thought our cast of Paulinas and Paulines ‘deserve a great deal of praise for their performances, which were engaging and executed incredibly professionally’ and that the accompanying ‘resplendent orchestra’ was ‘the icing on the cake’ for ‘one of the best nuns’ choruses [they] have ever heard’. The Sound of Music was all of our favourite things wrapped into one, and truly inspired us to climb every mountain…to the cast, so long, farewell!
