VI Arts Day

January 21, 2015

As a well-deserved treat following their mocks, the girls in the VI enjoyed some of the cultural attractions London has to offer during Arts Day today. With a slightly later start than usual (a very welcome feature of the day), the year divided between the Tate Modern and the Victoria & Albert, where they spent a couple of hours enjoying the exhibitions. The Bloomberg Connects Drawing Bar at the Tate proved very popular, with some budding artists creating masterpieces on the digital sketchpads. Following a leisurely lunch, they headed to the West End to watch either Matilda the Musical or The 39 Steps, both of which were thoroughly enjoyed. According to Saya Taneja in the VI, ‘It was a great way to relax after exams and get some very catchy musical theatre tunes stuck in your head for a few days!’
