VI Russian History Trip

November 6, 2019

Over half term, a large group of Paulinas were lucky enough to visit Moscow and St. Petersburg. Here Connie, VI, discusses this long-awaited history trip:

Many of us had never been to Russia before, but we quickly found ourselves immersed in its fascinating culture, with sights like the ornately decorated state rooms of the Winter Palace and Lenin’s embalmed corpse providing a wonderful glimpse into the many facets of Russian history. With the help of our guides, we were able to delve much deeper into the country’s revolutionary history than is possible within the scope of the school course; the trip was an invaluable experience and, despite some slightly dubious food choices, we all had a brilliant time and are very keen to return.
