VII Classics Study Day

November 21, 2015

Although not considered the typical pastime of a Paulina on Occasional Day, three members of the VII spent their Friday going to a Classical Conference day held at Harrodian school. The day featured four talks on a variety of classical topics from some excellent speakers. The subjects of these talks ranged from close analysis of Ovid’s Metamorphoses to a broader discussion of tragic justice, which brought in parallels to modern justice as presented in the popular television show Jeremy Kyle. The talks all provided an interesting viewpoint on their subject matter and the conference was both engaging and helpful to our studies.
