The Singing Hall, a Grade II listed building, has been recently refurbished to include new, state of the art lighting, sound system, acoustics and a recording studio. The refurbishment also included 258 new seats, which can be individually named.
For a donation of £2,500 (£2,000 + Gift Aid), a plaque will be inscribed with your personalised message and fixed to the back of a seat. Seats are available on a first come, first served basis and about half have been named already. Your message might include a dedication for Paulinas, alumnae, staff, parents, dates of attendance, an anecdote or quote – the choice is yours and can be anything up to 40 characters.
All the money raised from seat naming is put into the endowment for bursaries. The bursary endowment is like an investment, where income is earned on a total sum. At present, the income raised funds approximately 13 of the 91 bursaries. A healthy endowment is essential to the success and continuity of the bursary programme and all gifts from the Singing Hall seat naming help to build a strong future for bursary recipients.
