St Paul’s Girls’ School are seeking a full-time Teacher of English to join the school in September 2023. This vacancy provides an opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed newly qualified or experienced teacher. We are looking for applicants who can work as part of a team in delivering an intellectually rigorous programme of study across the full range of years in the school. The post offers considerable scope for individual initiative and involvement in a wide variety of co-curricular activities within the department and the school and the successful candidate will be expected to share in the organisation of running these.

The successful candidate, as a full member of the English department, will be responsible to the Head of English and will join a lively and convivial department. We are looking for applicants who are able to teach students at all levels, from Year 7 to university preparation, and who combine a robustly academic approach to the subject with an obvious and infectious enthusiasm for it.
