Wellbeing Governor

  • This role is unremunerated, but any travel expenses incurred in the course of governor business or training will be reimbursed
  • Governors are appointed for an official term of four years after which they may be reappointed for a further term of four years and thereafter, if thought appropriate, one final term of up to four years
  • Governors are expected to prepare  for and attend Board meetings plus one Committee meeting per term, an annual strategy day and school events such as concerts, play and prize giving. Meetings and events are usually held in London

St Paul’s Girls’ School is seeking a candidate who has a sincere interest in developing the system of pastoral care to benefit all its stakeholders, including students: for example, including members of the RAISE committee and the PSHE Ambassadors.

The successful candidate will have the capacity to understand, and to work with, all members of the Wellbeing Team, including counsellors, the medical team and the Chaplain. Will be approachable, engaged and genuinely committed to the school community.

The successful candidate will have a background in medicine, psychology or social care (not mandatory) and have links to higher education.
