AI generated approach to education

AI is impacting and having a significant effect on education, but is it really for the better?

ChatGPT and Google Bard are both AI platforms that are talked about a lot in a positive light but are also causing debatable controversy. AI can give students a personalised curriculum based on their performance and can be a more effective way to research. These are the positive effects of technology; but what about the negatives?

If a machine or an application is generating the answer to all the tasks that are assigned to students, does it really benefit the students themselves? Yes, the solution to whatever has been assigned to them is right there in front of them, but it isn’t building up the pupils’ knowledge itself or helping them realise their potential and abilities – so should this actually be classed as ‘education’ or laziness?

AI is creeping into our everyday lives a little more every single day, but do we really need that? If we begin to heavily rely on AI as our source for knowledge, how much of that knowledge would we actually be absorbing and how vulnerable would we actually become to be overpowered by technology when all we seek for is information or guidance for what we are trying to achieve?
