Computer Science and Creative Technologies

What we study

At A level, students can choose a year-long elective course of two hours per week, working alongside university and industry experts in their chosen field. Current electives include AI and machine learning; architecture, 3D environments creation and programming; algo-raves and sound programming; and mechatronics for robotics. The AI and machine learning course has been developed in conjunction with experts from Imperial College, drawing on students’ A level mathematics to explore the fields of AI and ML.

Beyond the curriculum

Students work directly with university and industry pioneers to push into territory well beyond their core studies, investigating AI in visualised sound, building interactive games in 3D spaces, and applying mathematical rigour to machine learning in ways that go far beyond the standard A level syllabus.

Where it might lead

Working alongside university and industry experts, students gain the language, experience, and informed perspective to communicate confidently about cutting-edge fields from a position of genuine expertise, helping them stand out in future endeavours, whether university applications, interviews, or early careers.
